December 2007 THE GREENHOUSE PROJECT: One of the greenhouses has been fortified for the winter with solar vents and fans and a strong clear plastic sheeting. Check out the photos!
November 2007 THE GREENHOUSE PROJECT: The Greenhouses are up and ready for their covers, vents, and solar fans!
August 2007 Middle Earth has a new batch of baby chicks! They are a variety of colors and sizes, but they're from our own Stock. We are excited to see how many hens and roosters we get out of the bunch.
July 2007 A new pond has been created by the Greenhouse Project. In the process of getting top soil to level out the greenhouse site a new pond has materialized as part of the Middle Earth world. Progress will be made to create the 3rd man-made pond at Middle Earth.
July 2007 Middle Earth now has its own battery powered vehicle. The Zap Truck goes about 35mph and saves on travel around town!
July 2007 The Greenhouse Project has begun! The grant has been approved. Volunteers are needed.
March 2007 Welcome our new friends, The Geese...Middle Earth has an ever-expanding menagerie!
January-April 2007 The renovations are nearing completion-with just a few more quirks to work out. The camper is really shaping up, so take a look!
January 2007 Craig set up a new wireless Weather Monitoring Station so every detail of the day can be recorded.
January 2007 The gardens have finally been cleaned out at the terracing is setup nicely for the first planting of the new year.
January 2007 The ducks have definitely become a great part of the atmosphere at Middle Earth...along with the many birds that visit throughout the year. We were particularly pleased when the yellow finches arrived after a prolonged stay in the warm weather up North.
December 22nd, 2006 A winter solstice celebration brought new wishes and hopes to the Remembrance Tree.
